The Adult Transition Program is a school district based special education program for students who graduated high school with a non-standard diploma. It teaches life, social and employment skills. We have on campus classroom instruction, community based instruction, and internship work development opportunities.

Any student who is 18, has an IEP, and will not or did not earn a standard high school diploma. Educational services will be offered through the school year the student turns 21.
Yes. Students will register at Cascade High School but attend the program at the Cascade Opportunity Center on Cascade’s West Stayton campus. It is led by a licensed teacher and uses data driven curriculum.
Yes. Currently, our days start at 8:30 and end at 3:30, and we typically have school the same days as the high school, with some exceptions. For example, our first day of school is different to allow for individual orientations for each student in September.
Transportation to and from the program is provided within district limits. Breakfast and lunch are provided, currently at no cost to the students.
Yes. Family Preview Day is held on the May Parent Teacher Conference Day. If your student would like to register for the fall, we will have a transition meeting with the current case manager and the ATP teacher to update the IEP.
We do not find and place students in paid employment positions. We do not provide driving instruction. We can review the information found on the written driving test.
