Last Friday night we had a great homecoming game! The football team moved to 7-0, defeating La Grande 51-7. We honored the homecoming court and crowned the Queen.

Red Ribbon Week

Here at Cascade, we honored Red Ribbon Week this week, a little bit early. We offered age-appropriate ways to address drug prevention, and want to give families resources to do that as well.

Attached to this newsletter are some resources to help families!

Jr. High Student's Art in Oregon Ag Calendar

Mrs. Bielenbergs' 6th-grade homeroom enrichment class last year completed a unit on Oregon Agriculture, focusing on commodities grown across the state's diverse regions and taking a deep dive into the dairy industry (from farm to store!)

After the lessons, students created artwork representing Oregon agriculture and submitted their pieces to the annual "Oregon Ag in the Classroom Calendar Contest."

Out of over 300 entries, Cascade Junior High School student Ayssa H.'s artwork was selected to represent the month of October and is featured in the Oregon Ag in the Classroom Calendar!

Ayssa won a $50 prize and was recognized for her achievement at a special ceremony with Mrs. Bielenberg at the Oregon State Fair back in August. In addition to Ayssa's win, three other students in Mrs. Bielenberg's class earned an Honorable Mention.

Congratulations to all the talented artists!

College and Trade School Fair

On Wednesday, Cascade High School held their College, Trade School, and Armed Forces Fair! We do such a good job getting participation from colleges that Stayton, Jefferson, and other high schools in the area come join us.

All our juniors and seniors at the high school and Opportunity Center got to talk with representatives from all kinds of different post-graduation opportunities. It's all part of the way we help each student find the right path for them!

Turner Elementary Receives Donation

Our community is amazing! Tim Long of Turner Retirement Homes donated $500 to support students at Turner Elementary!

We love being part of this Cascade community, and it's our joy, privilege, and responsibility to serve every student well. Thanks for partnering with us!

Cascade High School Football Game Announcement

Tonight, Cascade High School will host Stayton at 7:00 PM at Federico Field!

We’re expecting a large crowd for this exciting crosstown rivalry game. To help accommodate our visitors, all Cascade students (K–12) will need to stay off the baseball field. Students are welcome to sit in the stands or in the west end zone next to the junior high football field.

Let’s fill the stands, show our school spirit, and cheer loud for our Cascade Cougar Football Team!

Go Cougs!
