Board Reinstates Superintendent Drill

Posted Date: 02/04/26 (09:55 AM)

To our Cascade Community,

Yesterday, the Cascade School Board held a Special Executive Session with the district lawyer to hear the results of a comprehensive, third-party investigation into allegations about Superintendent Darin Drill. The allegations were made in a lawsuit against the district on a matter that did not involve Superintendent Drill.

“The outside investigator spent the past couple months on this,” said Board Chair Brett Stegall. “Bottom line: all allegations made against Superintendent Darin Drill were unfounded.” The report thus cleared Superintendent Drill of any wrongdoing. The Board then took action to immediately reinstate Superintendent Drill to his position, and he is back in the office today. Chair Stegall thanked Superintendent Drill for his leadership in making sure Cascade always does the right thing, always investigating allegations no matter which staff member it is.

“I’m very happy to be back working with our great staff, continuing to build something great here in Cascade,” said Superintendent Drill. “Working with this entire team of people making a difference for our great students is what I love doing.”

The Board welcomed the return of Superintendent Drill, and thanked Director of Human Resources Jay Weeks for covering the duties of the superintendent capably over the last couple of months.
