On Thursday, the Oregon Department of Education released results from the 2025-26 Statewide Assessments, and once again not only is Cascade significantly ahead of the state average, but we improved year over year in every subject!

English Language Arts was our strongest subject. 55.7% of our students met or exceeded grade level, 11.9 points higher than the state average, and 3.8 points higher than last year. 3rd grade was up 11 points, and 8th grade a massive 15.7 points from last year!

In Math, 39.4% of our students met or exceeded grade level, which is 6.5 points higher than the state average, and 2.9 points higher than last year.

And in Science, Cascade students were 9.1 points higher than the state average, and 3.9 points higher than last year!

All of our schools have done excellent work in daily instruction and supports to bring about these results, and we continue to work on improving. Cascade Junior High School deserves a special shout out for exceptional improvement in all subjects.

"Our continued improvement in test scores is a sign of what's really important," said Superintendent Drill. "We're really proud of the work our staff does every day to prepare every student for a productive adult life, and we will keep working hard to get better at what we do."

Cascade High School was a movie set this summer!

Well, sort of. 

Pace Insurance, who covers most of the schools in the state of Oregon, came to Cascade this summer and filmed a safety video to be used throughout the state. Take a look at our school, transformed into the "Canary Crusaders"!

It's fun to run at the Cloverdale Elementary jogathon!

Students loved running, parents and staff encouraged, counted...and some even joined the run!

All of the donations will go a long way to supporting students at Cloverdale this year, thank you!

Our Parent Support groups do so much for our students and schools!

It's National School Parent Group day, and we want to thank our parent clubs and PTAs for all you do. You volunteer, organize, and fundraise in ways that make school SO much better. You're the best!

The Cascade Cougars football team plays a home football game tonight at Federico Field, with a start time of 7:00pm.

There will be admission charged ($6 Adults/$4 children 6-18) and there will be no student re-entry.

Elementary and Jr. High Students must have an adult with them to enter. Jr. High Students must pay admission; student body cards only give admission to High School students. JR. HIGH STUDENTS SHOULD NOT STAY AFTER SCHOOL UNTIL THE GAME. THEY SHOULD BE PICKED UP FROM SCHOOL AS NORMAL.

 

We will have Administrators on hand to help manage the anticipated large crowd.

What comes next after graduation? Trade school? College? Military? And how do we pay for it?

Make plans to come to the Community College Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 14. Students will attend during the day, but for the first time parents can join from 3:30 - 5:00 pm, to meet and ask questions.

Then, stick around for the Financial Aid Night at 5:15 pm in the library. We want to support you!

YOU CAN HELP!

Whenever you come to any of our campuses, please make sure to sign in at the main office. Get a visitor sticker and wear it, so that everyone can see that you are supposed to be there.

Sometimes we are very familiar with our buildings and just quickly drop something at a classroom (it may have even been the classroom you were in back in the day!) However, we want there to be no exceptions to the "wear a badge" rule, so that staff and students are in the habit of noticing someone there without permission.

You may have a staff member or student ask you "Hi, can I help you find the office?" if you don't have a badge. Please do take that reminder to head to the office and get a badge. It's a way we can all be safer, knowing that everyone on campus has been cleared to be there.
